About the Author

Amina Linda McMakin is a certified Dance Leader and Mentor/Teacher, and serves as Area Connector and Southern States coordinator for the Dances of Universal Peace.  She began dancing in 1997 and over the years has hosted and sponsored dance classes and events at her home and small retreat center in Pelzer, SC.  She currently posts quarterly Dance celebrations at the Equinoxes and Solstices and is active in growing the Dances in South Carolina. Amina began receiving dances and chants in the mid-‘90s while participating in an on-going study of the Kabbalah with a local study group.  When she became involved with the Dances of Universal Peace, she felt she had “come home!”

This collection of Dances covers a variety of spiritual traditions and includes Dances that have come through over a period of years.  A CD companion to the dance booklet is currently in production.  A new series of dances inspired by Mary Magdalene is also currently in process.
